SPECIAL TRACK EDITION VARIANT TO MAKE TOYOTA GR SUPRA MORE FOCUSED THAN EVER BEFORE

Toyota’s pulse-raising GR Supra performance coupe range will become even more desirable in mid-2025 with the arrival of the range-topping Track Edition, which pushes the GR Supra’s classic front-engine/rear-wheel-drive dynamics even further with a raft of circuit-honed engineering upgrades.

Designed to make the GR Supra even more capable in dynamic situations, the Track Edition also stands out with a number of exclusive specification upgrades that amplify the sleek, cab-backward design of the turbocharged sports car.

Toyota Australia Vice President Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations Sean Hanley said the GR Supra Track Edition distilled the expertise and motorsport experience of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing into a vehicle that is just at home on a track as it is on the open road.

“The GR Supra is the flagship of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing portfolio, with six-cylinder turbocharged power, rear-wheel-drive dynamics and standout styling which has turned heads ever since the fifth generation launched in 2019,” Mr Hanley said.

“There is no clearer sign of its performance pedigree than the GR Supra’s entrance into the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship – a significant milestone in the story of GR.

“The Track Edition is the most focused version of the GR Supra released to date, with upgrades that enthusiasts will be sure to appreciate,” he said.

The GR Supra Track Edition’s driving dynamics have been overhauled to enhance stability and strengthen the direct connection to the road, starting with revised stiffer rear underfloor bracing and reinforced rear subframe rubber mounting which sharpen the driver’s steering inputs.

A larger front anti-roll bar and aluminium front and rear anti-roll bar brackets have been fitted to help with precise handling, while a changed front control arm bearing and negative front camber adjustment further improve handling and cornering grip.

The characteristics of the Track Edition’s situation-responsive electronically controlled shock absorbers  have been retuned to suit its enhanced suspension set-up, as have the tuning of the active differential and power steering which make the most of the chassis’ excellent dynamic capabilities. Larger GR-branded front brakes provide better braking control.

Improved aerodynamic capabilities are provided by a unique front underlip tyre spat, aero flaps around the front wheelarches and a carbon-fibre ducktail rear spoiler which accentuates the swooping rear roofline and short rear overhang of the GR Supra.

The 19-inch alloy wheels feature the same 10-spoke design as the GTS grade but are finished in a matte black coating, adding to the Track Edition’s dynamic looks.

The Track Edition will be available with the full palette of colours offered across the GR Supra range, along with an exclusive Matte Black option which joins the existing White and Nurburgring Grey matte choices.1

Inside, the Track Edition provides additional visual flair with black Alcantara®2 seat upholstery complete with GR logos on the headrests, red seatbelts and on manual versions, a red ring around the shift knob.

The Track Edition will be available with both six-speed manual or eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmissions, that are paired with the smooth, flexible and powerful 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder petrol engine producing 285kW from 5800-6500rpm and 500Nm from a wide band of 1800-5000rpm

Rear-drive dynamics are augmented with the GR Supra’s limited-slip differential, which along with its even 50/50 weight distribution and low centre of gravity create the classic feeling of a true sports car.

Building on the specification of the GTS, the Track Edition offers convenience features including a colour head-up display, 12-speaker JBL®2 premium audio system, wireless smartphone charger3 and heated seats.

More information on the GR Supra Track Edition including pricing and full specification will be announced closer to its Australian arrival in mid-2025.
